StarStarStarStarStar Great headset
User: G Hovey, Jan 13, 2012

Pros:  fit in ears, good sound
Cons:  none

The earbuds actually fit in my ears and are very comfortable. Love the controls on the headset, definitely a plus! Works great with the HTC Trophy.
StarStarStarStarStar Better than I was expecting
User: Scottishw Wildcat, Nov 23, 2010

Pros:  Only headphones Ive found whose remote buttons are fully functional with Desire
Cons:  Flimsy

Agree with other users that they dont fit in your ears -- if you try to fit them in the usual way for this type of headphone. If you loop them over the top of your ear, however, they fit a lot better.

As yet these are the only headphones Ive found where all three buttons work as theyre supposed to with the HTC Desire (and theres a handy app in the Market that allows you to control media volume as well as back/next/pause/answer with the buttons). Fortunately, the sound quality is actually very good for the size.

On the downside, the build quality is cheap -- have only owned them for a couple of months and a bit of the plastic casing just randomly broke off one of the earpieces yesterday.
StarStarStarStarStar Good while they last - which isnt long.

Pros:  Came with my Desire HD, good controls.
Cons:  Broke very soon after owning, uncomfortable.

They were a great novelty for me, being able to take calls and resume music, as well as skip through music tracks, all while my phone stayed safe from the elements in my pocket (I got my phone in Winter).
However, after only a couple of weeks, people said that while I spoke through the inbuilt mic rather than the phone itself, then they got horrible crackling and couldnt bear to stay on the line. This was every time I tried to use them, and as soon as I unplugged them, the crackling stopped. Very disappointed, as now I have to get my phone out of my pocket to change songs etc.
StarStarStarStarStar Great idea, poor execution
User: Joe G, Oct 26, 2011

Pros:  Great controlset, good mic, decent sound quality, included with my Desire Z
Cons:  Horrible earbud design, not very robust

The controls are great and have spoiled me for any replacements.
The sound quality is decent and I cant complain about the price of the first pair (included with Desire Z).
I can complain about the earbud design. They fall out constantly and let in all of the outside noise. I am good enough with a sautering gun I seriously considered cutting off the earbuds and replacing them with another set.
Unfortunately, the left earbud just lost sound and the wire fault appears to be near or at the plug (8 months of mild use). I am now confronted with either giving up the sweet control/mic set or giving them mixed feedback by buying another set of these so close, yet so far headsets..
StarStarStarStarStar Cable got worn our at the jack plug
User: Waw Genetynski, Sep 18, 2011
Sound quality and mic quality are OK. The cable got worn out at the jack plug after only 3 months of use and the mic stopped working. Poor design.
StarStarStarStarStar HTC Headset for Evo
User: Jorge Cavazos, Feb 13, 2011

Pros:  Great sound quality
Cons:  Auto answer button does not work on Evo and microphone does not allow you to voice dial or speak to text

The sound is great!!!! If you are just listening to music then this is a great choice!! If the phone rings on the Evo - the button to answer will not work. Also if you want to voice dial someone - that will not work either. The Evo will not reccognize it at all with that mic built in to the headset.
StarStarStarStarStar poor sound quality
User: Yan Bezugliy, Jul 5, 2011

Pros:  design
Cons:  sound quality

My HTC Sensation 4g came stocked with this headset. It looks OK and the controls work fine but the sound quality makes it impossible to use it with the music player. I am in a search for a better alternative
StarStarStarStarStar Great until mics stops working
User: Ina Heffner, Oct 14, 2010

Pros:  decent sound, ff and rew controls
Cons:  sticky cord tangles easily, mic longevity

Ive had 2 sets in 5 months and the same thing happened to both: the mic stopped working abruptly for no apparent reason. After the first one quit, T-Mobile was kind enough to provide a replacement. I was extra careful with the second set, but within a matter of weeks the mic stopped working on it, too. I contacted HTC and they want me to buy a replacement set for $30 from their website. So, Im on the hunt for a good alternative. Problem is theres not many available with similar controls.
StarStarStarStarStar these headphones are not very good
User: Drew Duncan, Oct 11, 2010

Pros:  you can hear music
Cons:  they fall out, cant use own headphones

they dont fit in my ears and i have big ears. i got a better handsfree set in a prepaid nokia. why when they produce such a good phone, cant they make a two piece handsfree. i cant plug my own headphones into the jack to listen to music either which is frustrating.
StarStarStarStarStar horrible
User: Bart S, Sep 6, 2010

Pros:  -
Cons:  bad earfit, no possibility of changing the earplugs

Simply horrible is the best way to describe them:
They dont fit in your ears decently, dont bother trying to run, or even as much as walk with them without them falling out.
In case you might have good earplugs yourself, youre out of luck, because you cant switch them.

Next to that, using the HTC Hero and a 3.5mm headphone or earplugs, you will get a very annoying noise during output.
Its not really noticeable when theres a lot of noise around you, but when its quiet, and youre listening to something quiet, its really frustrating.
